Warm Chocolate Fudge Cake Recipe
Ingredients
140 g Unsalted Butter
30 g Cocoa Powder
140 g 70% Dark Chocolate
140 g Caster sugar
100 ml Very Hot Water (not boiling)
140 g Self Raising flour
2 Eggs
Icing sugar to dust
Prep & Baking Guidance
Preheat Oven at 170*C (Fan)
- Pre-heat oven roasted 160*C. Grease and lune a 9” (23cm) cake tine (with a loose bottom, if possible)
- Place butter and chocolate in bowl set over a pan of simmering water or in the microwave until both melt
- Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar and hot water
- Sift the flour and cocoa and then stir into the mixture
- Beat in the eggs one at a time. Mix well. Pour into the cake tin and level the top
- Bake in the centre of the oven for 20-25 minutes. Leave to cool for 5 minutes
- Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with cream or ice cream
