Quick Flat Bread Recipe

Bread of all kinds is readily available in the supermarkets so you don’t often need to bake it at home.

Sometimes though, you don’t fancy a run to the shops or you just feel like baking it fresh.

This quick Flat Bread Recipe is simple, easy and only needs a few ingredients you can find in your fridge and cupboards.

Quick Flat Bread Recipe


10 tbsp of plain flour (225g)

1 tsp baking powder

2 tbsps oil (olive or vegetable)

100 ml warm water


  1. Mix all the ingredients together and create a dough. Knead for 5 minutes
  2. Cut the dough and made 2 balls
  3. On a clean surface add some flour and knead the dough ball again for few seconds, using a rolling pin flat the dough around 1/2 cm thick. Do the same with the other dough ball
  4. Heat a large frying pan, add some oil and rub the whole pan surface with the oil
  5. Cook each bread 2 minutes on one side and flip the bread and cook for a couple of minutes more on the other side. Eat immediately or keep the breads warm covered with a towel or with foil paper until ready to eat.
