How To Make This Chocolate Fudge Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
140g unsalted butter
100g 70% Dark chocolate bar
140g plain flour
140g caster sugar
100 ml very hot water (not boiling)
30g cocoa powder
2 eggs
Icing sugar to dust
Prep & Baking Guidance:
- Preheat oven 160 C (fan). Grease a 9” cake tin loose bottom
- Place butters & chocolate bar in a large bowl, set over a pan of simmering water and still until both melt. You can use the microwave instead of to melt it.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar and hot water
- Sift the flour and cocoa and then stir into the mixture
- Using a hand mixer beat the eggs one at a time. Pour into the pre-prepared tin and level the top
- Bake in the centre of the oven for 25-30 minutes. Leave to cool in the tin for 5-7 minutes before serving
- Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with cream or ice-cream
